The Bible is an historical document that mentions specific people, specific places, and specific events. During the nineteenth century, critics delighted in pointing out what they considered to be historical mistakes they supposedly found in the Bible. However, other historical documents, scientific evidence, and archaeological discoveries have confirmed that the Bible is accurate and reliable in its historical references.
