The prophet Daniel predicted the very year that the Messiah (Jesus) would come (Daniel 9:24-27). Daniel's countdown begins in 457 B.C. He predicts that the Messiah will make himself known 487 years later. That brings us to A.D. 26, the year that Jesus was baptized and began his public ministry.
